Why Lancism?

Many of the great ideas in history had an ‘~ism’ in them: Buddhism, Marxism, Taoism, Creationism, Darwinism and more…

An ‘~ism’ is basically a system of beliefs accepted as authoritative by one group or another. I thought it would be cute to include an ‘~ism’ in naming my site as it aspires to become a place where people turn to for guidance, as in a moral compass.

Purpose of these ramblings…

Lancism Philosophy is an extension of my mission to help others. Most of what’s written here is basically a philosophy or an approach to life. You can cut and paste and rewrite these bits of moral code into your own character. And as a result, experience the transformation in your life.

When I was younger, I’d always hoped for a mentor to guide me spiritually and emotionally, but I found that no such mentor appeared embodied in a single being… I realized that life was teaching me all the time — through events, trials and tribulations; through books, observing others, and strangely, observing nature.

I hope to bring some of these ideas to you. Although I’m not qualified to mentor you directly (you might be at a different stage of life or experiencing conditions I’m not familiar with), I wish you will be divinely guided to the appropriate passages within these writings and recordings.
